Don’t worry too much about the ECG report.Since your recent Echo and TMT were both normal, its likely just a technical error. Because of the chest hair, the leads probably didn't stick properly, which often gives a slightly off reading. In your case, since your heart tests are clean, this finding isn't actually a cause for concern. That burning sensation from your jaw to your stomach, along with the acid in your mouth, sounds like a case of severe acidity or GERD. The heart and the food pipe share similar nerve paths, so acid reflux can often feel like heart pain.
Next Steps
You should now consult Gastroenterologist to manage this acidity. Also, if you ever need another ECG, just ask them to shave small patches so the leads sit perfectly.
Health Tips
if the pain ever feels like heavy crushing pressure instead of burning, or if you feel breathless and sweaty, then head back to the ER immediately. Otherwise, you should be fine once the acidity is treated.

The ECG appears to be normal, the symptoms you have experienced are most likely related to gastric issues, not cardiac related

ECG looks overall normal sinus rhythm, no clear acute heart issue. R-wave progression appears mildly poor but likely due to lead placement (very common), not disease—especially since echo + TMT are normal. Your symptoms fit acidity/GERD more. Repeat ECG once properly (good lead contact). If pain continues or changes, consult me for proper evaluation and treatment.

I carefully reviewed your ECG images.
Health Tips
• Avoid triggers: – Spicy/oily food – Coffee, late meals • Lifestyle: – Don’t lie down immediately after eating – Elevate head while sleeping • Important reassurance: • ECG changes like “poor R wave progression” are very commonly due to lead placement error, especially in hairy chest ⚠️ When to worry: • Crushing chest pain • Pain with sweating, breathlessness • Pain on exertion ⸻

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician (Ex Govt Medical Officer at RML Hospital, New Delhi), and your case has been allotted to me. Thank you for sharing your ECG image. I have reviewed it carefully. • Heart rate ~99 bpm → slightly on higher side but acceptable (can be due to anxiety, pain, ER setting) • Rhythm appears regular (sinus rhythm) • No obvious ST elevation or acute ischemic changes • No clear evidence of heart attack pattern 👉 Overall, this ECG looks grossly normal in emergency context About “Poor R wave progression” From this ECG: • There is no clear pathological PRWP pattern • Likely due to: – Lead placement issue (very common, especially with chest hair) – Technical factors 👉 This supports what ER doctor told you Correlation with your symptoms Your symptoms: • Burning from jaw to abdomen • Acid coming to mouth 👉 Strongly suggest GERD / acidity, not cardiac pain Final clinical conclusion 👉 ECG is reassuring 👉 No signs of acute cardiac emergency 👉 Symptoms are most consistent with acid reflux What you should do now • Start PPI (pantoprazole before breakfast) • Avoid spicy, oily food, caffeine • No lying down immediately after meals • Elevate head while sleeping When to still be cautious Consult urgently if: • Pain becomes pressure-like or exertional • Associated with sweating or breathlessness • Radiates to left arm Important reassurance With: • Normal ECG (current) • Recent normal Echo and TMT 👉 Serious heart problem is very unlikely For a one to one consultation and proper treatment plan for acidity, you can reach out to me on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven. Wishing you quick relief. Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician
