Pigmented lesions on face.
Hi All, I have been advised to go for Q switch ND yag laser treatment but I am very confused which will be the right place to go for it. And which is the best machine for this treatment. I have consulted many doctors and everyone tells they have the best machine whereas all of them have different machines. I understand everyone wants to run their business but this is about my face and I can't take risk with it. I am stuck and looking for a way out of this. I am a working professional and cannot sit at home if something goes wrong with treatment and to recover from it. Can someone please help me considering my well being. I will be really thankful. You will not be less than God for me.

Greetings, Your concern is very genuine. Thanks for the query. Nevus of Ota is a difficult condition to treat, but promising results can be achieved. The first step is to do a skin biopsy to determine the exact location of the nevus among various layers of the skin so that depth of laser machine can be decided. Targeting through a single agent may not always be fruitful. Meet a qualified Dermatologist to learn more about the diagnosis and treatment options. Combination of different therapeutic agents is always beneficial. Revlite i.e. Q-switched Nd YAG laser has been available for stubborn pigmentation and can also be combined with fractional CO2 laser (fraxel) if needed. You can read about this machines from online sources.
