Phlegm strucking
Good noon doctor, my mother is 49 years old weight 78kg diagnosed with bp 6years back taking medication from then and continuing ( cardace am 2.5 ) from past one year taking diabetes medication also from past 2 weeks she has continuous cough and phlegm, also two days back and till today she has phelgm strucking type feeling even in sleep she couldn't take a breathe after clearing sputum she felt better it seems today also she felt her throat is tightening when coughing and phlegm coming she staking medicines but still not going away she consulted doctor he said nothing will happen she is worried please help me thank you
Urine colour is pale yellow
Normal appetite
Phelgm normal colour
Bp is in control

Most likely it's ? ACE inhibitor (cardace am 2.5) induced cough
Or could be Allergic bronchitis

Discuss with your doctor to stop cardace am (Ramipril) and shift to:
Telmisartan
usually it will improve in 1–4 weeks after stopping the drug
if it's allergic bronchitis ,Levocetirizine 5 mg at night ,with steam inhalation will help out

Recent onset of cough could be due to post infection, bronchitis, asthma or BP medicine related.Her fasting glucose level is significantly high.Do a chest x-ray and CBC and consult a physician in your area for appropriate management.You can also use acetylcysteine 600 mg once a day for a few days to thin the mucus

Steam inhalation with Vicks or eucalyptus oil two times before meals.
Betadine gargle add 3ml solution in hot to warm water gargle it before meals two times.
Cefexim o200 two times after food for five days. Zerodol sp three times a day after food for five days. Montek lc one at night for five days. Ambrodil s syr5 ml twice n 10 ml at night.
Plenty of water n liquid luck warm.
No cold things. Home made non spicy food.

Since she has productive cough for 2 weeks, it is better to get and chest xray PA view done, along with CBC ,and Sputum for AFB. I would also like to know if she is having fever, breathlessness, heartburn or chest pain..
