Persistent cough
Hi Doctor, I am suffering from cold and cough from past a week... I have been taking medication subscribed and also inhaling steam, goggling with salt water, drinking ginger tea and still it's the same... I don't see any improvement.. Being 17 weeks pregnant, I am bit worried of the situation. Could you please suggest me the reason and how to get rid of it naturally. cough has increased and I am worried it may affect the fetus.

Natural treatment if not supportive switch over to safeedicines which can be used in pregnancy. Usually in pregnancy immunity power to fight gainst infection is low. Sooner is better than late treatment. General cough and cold settles within a week but in pregnancy itmay also take another to recover. So better try to avoid oil in head, warm water and food intake etc

Post infection dry cough can remain for longer time... If no fever no need to wry, let your gynac decide about further... Dont worry
