Periods after Cystectomy and Mirena
I had endometriosis and a cyst in my right ovary which was operated via laparoscopy 1.5 months earlier. I had to get my right ovary removed as well and Mirena IUD inserted during the surgery. Now I have experienced periods twice in 1.5 months( not very heavy and for 4/5 days). Is this normal? I was told that Mirena stops bleeding completely. But getting it twice in such a shirt span is worrying me.

No You have gathered incorrect information Merina  may not always stop bleeding completely A greater percentage of patients continue to bleed It is known to reduce the amount and duration of bleeding Gap between two day one of period should be minimum 21 days If you bleed  before 21 days you may have to get it removed
