Symptoms are most consistent with local irritation / mild balanitis / frictional sensitivity rather than infection or STI. Normal urine report, absence of ulcer, discharge, or persistent burning makes UTI/STI unlikely. Daily masturbation and recent sexual activity can cause micro-trauma and hypersensitivity of the glans. Clobetasol is a very strong steroid and prolonged use on the glans can worsen sensitivity and thin skin.
Next Steps
• Stop clobetasol (do not use potent steroids on glans unless advised by a specialist). • Apply plain bland emollient (petroleum jelly / liquid paraffin) 2–3 times daily. • If redness/irritation persists: use mild steroid only (hydrocortisone 1%) once daily for 5–7 days. • Avoid masturbation and sex for 10–14 days to allow healing. • Maintain gentle hygiene: wash with water only, no soaps, antiseptics, or wipes. • Wear loose cotton underwear.
Health Tips
• If pain persists beyond 2–3 weeks, consult a urologist/dermatologist. • If any new symptoms appear (ulcer, discharge, persistent burning, rash), get STI screening.
