Hello doctor, My baby is 5 month old do we need to give him pcv injection compulsory as we gave vaccine in government free but they not given pcv injection

PCV vaccines prevent diseases caused by pneumococci like pneumonia, sepsis and meningitis, otitis media and sinusitis, which constitues a major burden of disease in the below 5 age group. At 5 months child will require two doses 4 weeks apart with a third 6 months from the 2nd dose

PCV is also a mandatory vaccine. Now even govt has started in some states. It is recommended to give as per IAP schedule.
