Hi there
My family tested positive for covid using a home test kit earlier this week. We are out of fever within 2 days and doing okay now. While we continue to isolate ourselves, we have an upcoming international travel on 25th of Feb. As per the destination country (Australia) rules, past positive people can travel after 7 days with a doctor's clearance. How do I start a consultation to get clearance after one week? Please let me know the process. We are a family of 4. Flying in air india domestic and then international on Qantas from Delhi

I think it is better if you get guidelines from Local Health Authorities. In this case CMO of the District. They have the latest guidelines which are in vogue.
None of the Doctors in private practice can be so updated because we don't face such situations daily.
Since it is related to international travel.
It will be better if you check with local authorities. Better to get a physical consultation in your town.
Hello. This is Dr Pradeepti. I will attempt to make the process easier for you. Firstly, please get a physical appointment with a doctor. The doctor will ascertain that you have no lingering symptoms. Please get your RTPCR done before the appointment. It may take upto a day to be reported, hence kindly get it done a couple of days before. Though it is not mandatory to get a negative RTPCR during this wave, it is best to avoid any unforseen complications especially considering it is international travel. A physical appointment is necessary as the clearance needs to be stamped by the physician to be valid.

I would suggest however that if your RTPCR is negative, you needn't get the clearance at all. since it was a home kit positive, it would not have been registered in the system at all. if you didn't actively register yourself, and your RTPCR before the travel is negative, you can give the clearance a miss.
