Painful breasts
Stopped breastfeeding of toddler but my breasts are so tender and painful. Any medicine I can take ? It's been four days I stopped breastfeeding my two year old.

It's because of breast engorgement when you wean off. Do mild hot water compress- just for about a week. This must be mild enough to relieve you of the pain and engorgement but not strong enough to stimulate milk production. In case of fever associated with breast tenderness- this suggests mastitis ,then you need to consult a surgeon/gynecologist.

It can remain like that for 5-10 days. Try massaging any lumps or express milk so that it does not complicate and cause infection. Can consult me privately for proper management and prescription
