Hello
Pain while passing urine is common in young girls and often due to infections or irritation. With simple hygiene measures and fluids, most cases resolve quickly. We’ll run a urine test if needed to rule out Urine infection
Common causes:
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) – most common
Poor hygiene or wiping from back to front
Holding urine too long
Inadequate water intake
Irritants – soaps, bubble baths, tight synthetic underwear
Worm infestation
Next Steps
Encourage oral fluids – 8–10 glasses/day
Wipe front to back after using the toilet
Avoid bubble baths, harsh soaps near private parts
Use cotton underwear and change daily
Urinate every 2–3 hours, don’t hold urine
If persistent, get Urine routine and microscopy, and Urine culture and sensitivity
If UTI is suspected, start empirical antibiotics
Deworming if worms suspected.
Health Tips
Red flags:
Any fever, increased frequency, urgency?

Can be due to any local lesion or most common due to Urine infection.
Get urine routine examination and urine culture sensitivity and a physical consultation for examination
Advice :
1. Drink plenty of water
2. Maintain local hygiene
3: Get these investigations done and review :
urine routine and microscopy , urine culture and sensitivity
Health Tips
Don’t take antibiotic before getting investigations done
