My son is 5 years old and yesterday he got DTP booster, he is unable to move his hand and its paining. Is it normal or fo i need to give any medicine

After DTP booster, pain and swelling at injection site with temporary difficulty moving hand is quite common and usually settles in 2–3 days. Cold compression and paracetamol/ibuprofen for pain can be given. Please review if high fever, pus or rapidly increasing swelling develops.

Nothing to worry..pain is common with Vaccination..apply Ice pack minimum for 10-15 mins..use Paracetamol if the pain is severe..if the child gets high fever and if he is dull looking consult Pediatrician

Just apply Ice pack after covering it in cloth and apply 3-4 times a day for 1-2 days.Give paracetamol for pain if needed

Hello, Don’t worry post vaccination pain and swelling are common. Even developing fever is good as it is a post vaccine reaction 1)Apply ice on the vaccination site 2)Give Syp Ibugesic 5ml sos

Pain post vaccination is very common. Just give medicine for pain relief and put on some cold compresses. It should get better in a few days
