Pain in the right kidney

Hi, could you please advise what will be the best procedure to find out the kidney stones. Will it be through CT scan or ultrasound. All are advising me to go through ultrasound.

Ultrasound is an initial procedure which gives approximate details and CT is confirmatory. Initially ultrasound is done as it’s less expensive and radiation free. If any doubt persists then a CT KUB is done.
