A chest pain always raises a possibility of heart issue. However, pain which is there for days and moves from place to place over the chest is unlikely to be due to heart. There are other features which suggest that it may be NOT heart related is pain on pressure, pinprick like pain , pain worsening on breathing or swallowing. I suggest a general review and BP review as he is reported to have the same are logical. An ECG has its importance in chest pain review.
