The wax in my ear has hardened a lot and since the day I tried putting an ear bud inside, it has been paining a lot. Please suggest.

You seem to be suffering from Impacted wax inside your ear canal. If it's hard then it can cause severe pain. Wax needs to be softened before attempting removal which needs to be done by a specialist under vision. You need to use wax softeners for atleast five days so that ENT specialist can remove it easily
