Hello Doc, My father age 61, having pain from last 3 days in anal region, when I physically examined I see a lump over there. Find the attachment of picture.

Providing more details would be helpful however, it is advised to consume high fibre diet, adequate hydration, stool softners, and applying local analgesic gel containing 2% lignocaine inside the anal canal which helps in reducing the pain 15 mins before passing stools and Sitz bath 20 mins twice daily.

Hello, Looking at picture it looks like, it could be external haemorrhoids or chronic fissure and complains of pain could be cause of acute fissure over the chronic one. But considering age and to find exact cause of it, per rectal examination is advised.
