What you’re describing is most consistent with post-injection muscle/nerve irritation, commonly involving: • Gluteal muscle strain or deep hematoma, or • Irritation of the sciatic nerve from the injection site Key points supporting this: • Pain started after an injection in the upper glute • Pain radiates to the right leg and lower back • Pain worsens with leg stretching, prolonged standing, and walking • No mention of fever, redness, swelling, or weakness → serious infection is unlikely This is not uncommon, especially if: • The injection was deep • You resumed long hours of standing/walking soon after • Muscle didn’t get enough rest to heal
Health Tips
✔️ What is reassuring • Post-injection pain can last 3–6 weeks • Most cases resolve completely with conservative care • This does not mean permanent nerve damage

Most probably have a Haematoma after the injection and likely pressing on the sciatic nerve. Do the following, 1. Regular Ibuprofen for a week and rest if you can 2. Ultrasound scan of the right gluteum 3. If you develop fevers with this, need Antibiotics and MRI scan of pelvis to check there is no abscess in the gluteal area All the best J G S R clinic

njection site problems are common reactions to injections or vaccinations, typically causing mild, temporary symptoms like pain, redness, swelling, itching, or bruising that resolve in 1–2 days. These, along with potential lumps or infections, are often managed with cool compresses or pain relief. Serious, though rare, issues include allergic reactions or infections that may require medical attention.
Next Steps
Look if there is any palpable lump at site of injection
Health Tips
If lump is there consult doctor otherwise follow above mentioned home remedies
