Try and use flat sole footwear regularly, as this will help your symptoms to improve. Take painkillers as and when you need them. You can use ice packs for comfort. Change of footwear for flat soled shoes/slippers is the best thing for the hallux valgus. You may also try a hallux valgus splint, which is widely available online as well.
