Greetings Sir, pain in calf muscles as you described (starts after walking) may be because of (a) the calf muscles are weak i.e it cannot maintain the pace of your walking, i.e if walking briskly and the formation of lactic acid is faster than its resorption or (b) the other reason can be electrolyte disbalance which may be catalysing the duration in which muscle consumes energy and feels like almost cramped. or (c) if the pain is neurogenic in nature that is caused by problems relating to nerves you may even go for spine check up (to start with X-ray [only if you have some trouble at your lower back] ), NCV can also be done [ if there is altered sensation that is tingling , loss of sensation etc.. ]
Next Steps
please get you blood electrolytes (calcium, potassium , sodium and chlorine and magnesium ) levels checked. if there is some disturbances we may start with adding electrolytes to your diet to fix that. but if there is no issue in electrolyte balances we may have to start with endurance training of your calf muscles. depending on your symptoms you can opt for test. or consult a physician that would be able to refer you.
