My wife has pain in her ankle post suspected Chikungunya fever , it increases when she gets up after a small rest or lying down for a while . Her work also requires her to wear heals .Please suggest future course of action

Hello sir 1st she needs to undergo proper treatment for chikungunya becoz in this fever patient complaints of joint pain for that she can do contrast bath for 15 mins... starting with hot fermentation and ending with hot fermentation... do hot fermentation for 3 mins and cold fermentation for 1 min...for further treatment you can consult a near by physiotherapist for Ultrasound therapy and laser treatment...which will help reducing pain...

First give contrast bath for 10 days. Put the feet in warm water for 3 minutes and then in cold water for 2 minutes. Post reduction in pain consult the nearby Physiotherapist for ankle musculature strengthening exercises.

Pain follows lower extremity is most common, proper precautions should be taken in routine like avoid wearing heels till pain subsides, if there is work related issues in that case she can also take up with plateform heels
