Dear friend, wisdom tooth erupts anytime between 18-27 yr.so ur problem could be because of a condition called pericoronitis or as u r saying that there is a cavity so the swelling could be because of the infection.
Next Steps
visit your dentist and better get the Intraoral x ray done to decide the proper diagnosis.

It is not due to wisdom teeth eruption because that does not happen after 21 or 22 years of age, but it is basically due to inflammation in the gums around the tooth and this condition is called as pericoronitis. As such wisdom teeth are considered non functional and when they have Cavitation also the most prudent step will be removal of the offending to show that the symptoms can be alleviated permanently. Regards.
