Every time I play basketball I have pain above my left ankle in around 7cms, I have been like that for around 3-4 months. Also when I press on it, it hurts. It doesn’t hurt on a daily basis when walking, it only hurts when running/sports/basketball/or when I touch it or press on it. I didn’t fall or anything it just suddenly started hurting me once when running and since then it’s been hurting every time I run or press on it

It may be a stress injury. Stop playing basket ball for 3 weeks atleast. Use ankle strap while vigorous activity and when you resume sports.
Perform simple ankle toe movement and apply ice twice daily over tender area.
