5ml is not the correct dose.
Correct dose is 3ml every 6th hourly if fever is above 100F
If fever is below 100, wait to administer P-250.
Paracetamol is a safe medicine, so funny worry about overdose
Health Tips
if fever is not reducing - Tepid sponging is advised
P250/5ml syrup for a 10 kg child , dose is 3 ml only.
Although 2 doses of 5 ml would not have toxic effects, it is still more than recommended. No need to worry right now about overdosing or toxic effects, but be careful in future.
Next Steps
3 ml needs to be repeated every 4-6 hrs of fever is more than 100 F .
Consult for finding out the cause of the fever
May need additional medicines/tests
