Ortho problem: Pain near ankle and knee

Asked for Male, 38 Years

Had undergone surgery in 2002 on Right leg below knee broken bone and was implanted with rod between knee and ankle. This rod was taken out last year March. Now I'm getting pains near ankle and knees. This pains started since I participated in 10k marathon for which I practiced for a week.

The surgery would have had an effect on the knee cap and also on the knee joint. That would have flared up the knee, when you did the 10K run. Ideally you should have prepared for a longer time to do the marathon. Also regular exercise will help in relieving your symptoms.
