Dear Ma’am,
Pain on pressure in a previously filled or root-canal-treated tooth usually indicates an underlying dental issue. Homeopathy can help in reducing pain and inflammation, but if there is infection or a problem with the filling or bridge, dental evaluation is necessary to treat the root cause.
My advice would be to consult a dentist for proper assessment, and homeopathy can be taken as supportive treatment for better healing and relief.
Wishing you good health.

Dear Madam,
I understand your concern completely. Dental pain—especially when you have already undergone procedures like root canals and a bridge—can be stressful, and it is very natural to feel hesitant about visiting the dentist again.
From what you describe, pain only on pressure in a previously filled tooth usually suggests underlying inflammation or infection around that tooth. This can happen due to deep decay, leakage under an old filling, or stress on the tooth from chewing or from the bridge.
Can homeopathy help?
Homeopathy can be very helpful in reducing pain, inflammation, sensitivity, and infection, and in many cases it helps avoid unnecessary procedures by improving healing and immunity. Many patients get good relief with the right constitutional and local remedy.
However, it is also important to be honest and practical:
If there is a deep infection, cracked tooth, or pus formation, medicines alone may not be sufficient unless the structural problem is addressed.
Homeopathy works best when we understand the exact condition of the tooth, often with the help of an X-ray.
What I would suggest
You may start homeopathic treatment to control pain and infection in a gentle way.
At the same time, it is advisable to get the tooth evaluated (preferably with an X-ray) so we know whether the tooth is restorable or needs dental intervention.
This approach helps you avoid unnecessary dental work, but also ensures that a serious issue is not ignored.
Please don’t worry—not every painful tooth means extraction or major dental treatment. With the right evaluation and supportive homeopathic care, many cases can be managed well.
If you wish, you can consult a homeopathic doctor in person for a detailed assessment and guidance.or if you want you can contact for online consultation.

Health Tips
1. Avoid chewing on affected tooth.
2. Salt water gargle to sooth and clense
3. chew clove on affected tooth at night for temperorily relief.
I can tell you what homoeopathy can offer in this case.
1) can cure current infection.
2) reduce the frequency, duration and severity of the recurrent infection.
3) can help in pain relief.
4) can prevent further progress of the disease.
All of these if you decide to take a proper homoeopathic treatment.
Pain on pressure in a previously treated tooth often suggests an underlying dental issue that needs examination. Homeopathy may help in reducing pain or inflammation, but structural dental problems usually require assessment by a dentist.
Next Steps
I would advise a dental consultation to identify the cause and prevent further complications. Avoid delaying evaluation even if pain is occasional.
Dear Madam,
Thank you for sharing your concern in detail. Based on what you have described, the pain on pressure usually indicates underlying inflammation or infection around the tooth or root.
✔ Homoeopathy can definitely help in such cases by:
• Reducing pain and sensitivity
• Controlling infection and inflammation
• Improving healing around previously treated teeth
• Preventing recurrence and further complications
In many patients, properly selected constitutional homoeopathic medicines give long-term relief and help avoid repeated dental procedures, provided the tooth structure is still maintainable.
However, I always advise a safe and honest approach…if there is severe structural damage or an active abscess, a dental evaluation may be required alongside homoeopathy. Homoeopathy works very well as a primary or supportive treatment, depending on the case.
I would need a detailed case history (pain pattern, sensitivity to hot/cold, swelling, general health, stress, past dental treatments, etc.) to guide you correctly.
You can consult me online for a personalised treatment plan, and I will guide you step by step so that unnecessary dental visits can be avoided as much as possible.
Warm Regards,
Dr Kiran

Health Tips
• Avoid chewing hard food on that side
• Rinse with lukewarm saline water
• Avoid very cold or hot foods temporarily
• Maintain good oral hygiene (soft brushing)
I understand your concern and your hesitation to visit a dentist.
Pain only when pressing the tooth usually indicates some infection or inflammation under the old filling. Homeopathic treatment can help in reducing pain and infection and may give good relief if the problem is in an early stage.
However, if there is a deep infection, abscess, or structural issue in the tooth, then u need to take the treatment as soon as possible .
We can start homeopathic treatment and monitor the response. If the pain settles, we can continue. If it increases, or if swelling develops, a dental visit would be important it will all depend upon your condition we need to talk to you for that.
Till then you can follow these tips too to get some relief
Health Tips
• Avoid chewing on the painful side.
• Brush gently and keep good oral hygiene.
• Rinse with lukewarm salt water once or twice daily.
• Avoid hard, sticky, very hot, or very cold foods.
• Do not keep pressing or checking the tooth.
• If pain increases, swelling appears, or fever develops, consult doctor asap
