Multivitamins are to be taken only if indicated . It has to be taken only if you have symptoms of vitamin deficiency like generalised weakness, dryness of skin, mouth sore, cracks over your lips, hairfall, burning foot, numbness etc . If you have symptoms , they have to be taken only for short duration of time . Excess intake of fat soluble vitamins can cause severe life threatening problems - though its incidence is less, but it’s better to be avoided . Multivitamins and micronutrients should be obtained from balanced diet , rather than depending on medicines
