Managing elderly patients on tube feeding and multiple medicines needs careful assessment, especially with coughing or blood during feeds. Please consult once I’ll guide you supportively and help you understand what needs urgent attention.
Hey lady!
At this age changing medications on your own is risky. And i would like to know the complete detailed history before advising anything. Because there might be previous hospitalisations or history for which statins, aspirin, clopidogrel and telma is started. And you haven’t mentioned for which reason patient was hospitalised for 20 days as it’s a long time so there must be some major condition. So kindly talk in detail with any doctor before changing such important medications. I would be happy to connect with you and discuss the whole thing.
Next Steps
Connect with any doctor and discuss in detail the whole history. Also mention the amount of bleeding and if any movements of tube done before or after bleeding.
Health Tips
Kindly do not stop or change such important medications on your own as it could cause some serious problems for the patient.
