Obsessive compulsive disorder
Hello.I have ocd and I am currently under medication since 3years.Done with ERP and CBT.but not fully helpfull.Medicene names are Ecmin xr 75mg(clomipramine),clozep 0.25 mg(clonazepam),serenace 0.25 mg(halopheridol) at night and Arminol 40mg at morning...I feel too lazy since 2years,i wont brush,dont take bath,(takes brush and bath once a week.my academic results are decreasing,I don't mingle with frnds,silly things hurts me a lot and silly things makes happy me a lot..I have frequent headache.My question is 1.What above mentioned tablets do? 2.Is this lazyness and above mentioned problems are due to medications? 3.How this not taking bath and brush is irrelevant thing in ocd or its a different mental illness? 4.is ocd herridetory?. Thnx

These medications improve the serotonin levels in brain which is decreased in OCD. Less likely that medications r contributing to laziness as every drug is in minimum effective dose, still discuss it with ur psychiatrist. There is a component of heredity in OCD but not entirely.
