Hi, your anxiety is caused by your physical condition of numbness felt below the knee. So first attend your medical condition by following the advice of your neurologist. In addition, please also consult a cardiologist to check if the numbness is due to peripheral artery disease (PAD). Further consult a counsellor/psychologist who is a CBT practitioner to address the issue of anxiety.
Hi,
The prescribed medications seem appropriate for your symptoms, addressing both pain and anxiety.
Follow up regularly with your doctor - neurologist and consider physical therapy to strengthen your back and improve flexibility to aid your recovery.
Talk to your doctor regarding adjusting your anxiety medication .
A psychologist can help you to manage your anxiety alongside medication with therapy such as like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness or relaxation techniques , these are known to be helpful.
Hi,
First I am not the right person to comment on the medication course of the individual for that you can take the second opinion from the another neurologist.
Remember, It's important to follow your doctor's advice and take the medication as prescribed. However, if you feel that your symptoms are not improving or worsening, it would be best to follow up with your neurologist for further evaluation and potentially additional tests or treatments.
In the meantime, it's important to take care of your mental health as well, especially with your anxiety coming back. Consider seeking support from a therapist or counselor to help cope with your anxiety symptoms.
Hello, I can understand that the numbness in the legs is a cause of concern so please consult an orthopedic doctor and also check with the doctor if you need any physiotherapy. Please understand that you need to see a psychologist also although for now you need to take care of your physical health first and observe your anxiety symptoms simultaneously.
Next Steps
Please try writing your thoughts in a diary so that if you are overthinking it may help you calm down.
Health Tips
Try deep breathing techniques which will help as a relaxation strategy.
Looks like but u won’t be able to comment on this one so deeply since I am not an expert in the said field
