It can be due to various reasons such as personality issue, social anxiety etc . We need to discuss in detail for helping you further. Do get in touch with me through Practo. Visit my Facebook page and my website mentioned on it to know my work. Happy to help !
You have already been diagnosed with depression and are also taking medicine for it. This not talking may be a part of depression or it may be a part of your personality. Before coming to any conclusions, more questions need to be asked-like why don't you want to talk to people? Is there anyone particular who you like/dislike talking to or is it a general thing with everyone? And very many other questions
Next Steps
Please let your treating psychiatrist know this issue or consult another one if you're not satisfied with your current doctor.
