Get your urine pregnancy test. If it is negative then you should consult a Gynaecologist for an intrauterine device.
The main point in your case is that you should not become pregnant and you should continue your Iron and Calcium supplements.
Hello
Post delivery(c-section) it's quite normal to not to have periods for 14-18 months in few people when they are adequately breastfeeding, it's called prolonged lactation amenorrhea, on am average menses do occur within 4-6 months of delivery if adequately breastfeeding.
Next Steps
stop breast feeding
get a urine pregnancy test done
if UPT is negative, go for pregesterone withdrawal bleeding
Health Tips
no need to wait now, it's already quite a good time after delivery, you can consult for the evaluation and medications
This is called lactational amenorrhea
That is absence of periods because of hormonal disbalance because of breastfeeding
You can wait if the pregnancy test is negative
Hello Dear , I hope you are enjoying your motherhood . Periods are naturally delayed when your a breast feeding . It is in fact a sign of adequate feeding .
Just make sure you are using adequate contraceptive measures as pregnancy is possible even without resumption of periods.
Since your baby is now well over 6 months , you may consider gradually reducing your breast feeding and introducing other foods so that your periods slowly come back to normal .
