Next step after Laparosco
My weight is 70 kg. My periods are not regular. I have undergone 5 unsuccessful rounds of ovulation induction. My husband's sperm count is 23 million/ml with 85% motility. My doctor suggested to undergo laparoscopy for more clear vision on my problem. Two days back I had surgery, doctor did not find any abnormality and concluded its a case of unexplained infertility. Further, they ensured me I have high chances of conception as I have undergone laparoscopy and told me to be patient. I am bit confused what should I do?

I presume u have taken clomifene citrate for ovulation induction and u seem to be a poor responder to that as the dominant follicle is not forming. In the light of ur history u seem to be having PCOS, so firstly atleast try to lose 5% i.e.3.5kgs of weight to begin with as tbe ovulation rates rise up drastically with that. Exercise, cutting down on sugar in tea coffee are some means of dietary changes. Please consult an infertility specialist (a general obgy may not be of mch help) as u need to be given inj hMG or rec FSH if u do not respond to basic ovulation induction drugs. And go for follicular  monitoring and IUI, perhaps. It is mainly a lifestyle disorder so eat fresh veggies, flax seeds, say no to packaged foods n soda, sugar, biscuits, processed foods etc. U need to be started with Tab DHEA and myoinositol as they improve micro follicular environment under supervision. No smoking and alcohol if any, strictly. U cud hv attached the discharge card so as to knw if there was any lap ov. drilling that was done if at all there was any bulky ovarian stroma as in pco. If u hv taken back to back 5 unsuccessful induced cycles then take a step back and rest for 3-4 months.Chances of conception in abandoned cycle is high! U need to tell us ur AMH to knw the fertility, anyway i presume u r still 31 and u will conceive sooner or later. Goodluck.

With 5 cycles of Ovulation Induction and a laparoscopy as well, it is time for you to move on to the next step of treatment. Has your doctor mentioned whether you have polycystic ovaries or not and during laparoscopy was any extra procedure done? Information on this would be very helpful.
Next Steps
Ovulation Induction with hormonal preparations along with IUI should be the next step
Health Tips
An AMH test would help. If your AMH is normal, it will only be a while before you conceive. If the AMH is low, take help of higher techniques for conception.
