Breastmilk is best and ideal for baby less than 6 months.
If some how mother not able to produce enough milk, should consult doctor and do examine and try positively.
There are different type of formula for different baby, if it is medically indicates to give top milk, doctor will decide on whether child is preterm or term, normal birth weight or low birth weight and any allergy?

Exclusive breast feeding for 6 months... No water or pre lacteals or anything..
There is no alternative to mother's milk as milk is species specific..!

Concentrate on Breast feeding .As far as formula mik is concerned all are equally good and has to follow the FDA Norms .
Also formula with maximum whey casein ratio are considered beneficial as it causes less gas/colic .
