Nephrotic Syndrome

My sister-in-law's baby is suffering from nephrotic syndrome. Now since I am pregnant( initial stage), I am afraid whether my child will inherit the disease. Is it a hereditary disease ? Can we undergo any treatment to avoid this disease to affect my child. Since my pregnancy is initial stage ,we will consult gynae in few days. We are ready to undergo any test to confirm and undergo necessary treatment . please suggest
