Need to know the status of this report
Hi, My brother met with some minor accident but he is having pain on his leg so we did MRI and showed it to Dr. Very worried as Dr. suggested us a surgery. Don't know because my brother is telling he can manage but some minor pain is there. Please suggest me.

Though the mri films are not visible and i have not examined the patient personally, i can say that mri may be showing some findings but any decision of surgical intervention should be taken on the basis of patient s problems and clinical examination.

First, immobilise the knee then a trial of physiotherapy if the pain is still persistent then arthroscopic surgery can be taken up.

Treatment in this case depends on the symptoms of the patient If pain is severe, then surgery should be done as there is a tear of medial meniscus If pain is not that bad then start physiotherapy
