Hi
I am 27 years old, 5 ft 9 inch and weighing only 56 kgs. I sleep late and wake up late. My appetite is also pretty weak. I need to increase my weight and build a physique (strength). Please suggest an appropriate diet for this (I eat non veg food exclusively). Should I join a gym straightaway (if yes, then what should I focus on) or should I need to put on some weight first? Please suggest appropriate course of action.
Thanks

According to your height your ideal weight should be 69 kgs.you should take high protein foods like all milk and milk products, eggs, pulses, sprouts, nuts, tofu, rajmah, chole, soyabean, paneer, chicken, fish etc. to gain muscle mass. After increasing some muscle mass when you will feel energetic you can join gym for strengthening exercises.

To gain weight, you have to increase your daily food intake. Try to eat healthy food after every 2 hours. Besides the breakfast, lunch & dinner, have in-between meals like peanuts, milkshakes, dry fruits like kaju, kismis, almonds, cheese sandwiches, fruits like banana, mango, chickoo, grapes, cookies, sprouts, kala chana chaat and other healthy snacks. Increase 1-2 chapatis more in your lunch & dinner. Also have rice in lunch. You need not join gym now, but go for 30 -45 min brisk walks daily so that you gain weight uniformly.Visit www.dietclinic.in
