I am observing following symptoms in my wife:
1. Excessive crying for prolonged duration for little issues
2. Getting irritated very frequently.
3. Lack of confidence.
And many more difficulties in day to day life. She used to work before we had a baby and has been a full time home maker for last 18 months.
Do u suggest she needs some counselling or medication?

Hi Thanks for your approach. I think her situation is post pregnancy , there will be lot of ups and down in her emotions, during this period she require a lot of emotional support, If not post pregnancy, then I think she is emotionally disturbed of some matter, feeling of helplessness and no hope /confidence of self. this might be disturbing her routine life also. one more thing, as you have mentioned she was working earlier, normally who are workaholic, will feel in this way if there is an break and family pressure. The best is, at the earliest you can take her to psychologist / counsellor for better assessment, based up on their evaluation if any medication is require, they will help for further step. take care. stay positive.
Health Tips
counselling will help her to the greater extent in handling emotional issues, keep positive environment, give emotional support, if possible she can practice Yoga and meditation
Hello,
First things first- your spouse most importantly as a first step requires a comprehensive assessment by a psychiatrist near you. Assessment will help understand the issues and current mental health status. Only after a detailed assessment need of any intervention be it Medication or psychological intervention or may be both in conjunction can be commented upon. .Hence please meet a psychiatrist near you for comprehensive assessment and further management.
Hope this helps you. Best wishes for your health and future.
