I have been facing dry mouth since few weeks, just wanted to know when i lick the area near the partoid papilla, it feels a little sour, is it normal or is that indicative of any infection?

It means you are dehydrated, sour taste is due to normal slightly acidic ph ~ 6.7. Normally we can’t taste it due to good flow of saliva, when it slows down you may be able to taste it. Increase you water intake, and you should be fine.
