18 years ago I had ameloblastoma and they resected my lower right mandible, rebuilt my jaw and gum bone. I have several issues with that but the reason for my post is swelling, redness and heat radiating from my submandibular gland area on that side.
Mri's and CT's are difficult to read, as the titanium creates white noise across that area.
I recently had a sailendoscopy and expected the symptoms to go away. But 2 weeks after the area swells, turns bright red and the numbness of that area

Is there any associated pain along with redness and swelling. If no there could be infection and inflammation of the submandibular gland. A ultrasound or that area will be helpful to see if there is any abscess also. It will not have the noise as in the CT and mri.
