Hello,
Persons with NPD typically have an inflated sense of self, are manipulative, get off on demeaning or insulting others. Their skills at manipulation usually makes their partners or loved ones feeling the heat for most problems in the relationship. They are quick to blame others and play the victim quite efficiently. Usually after an argument with them they would make one feel as if they had been suffering throughout owing to the other person and weighs them down with intense guilt which they do not shy from bringing up later. NPDs are usually intelligent and they know how to play with words well to turn things in their favour. They refuse to acknowledge any blame and even if they do what they know to be wrong they still blame and hold their partner responsible for the transgression.
If you’ve been feeling emotionally drained and feel as if you’re the only one invested in the relationship yet you are bearing all the blame and get the raw deal, then may be you’re with an emotionally toxic person, who is probably an NP.
