Hi, Neck pain is usually due to bad posture or static (Same) posture for long duration. If you are someone who has long working hours you might be having muscle spasm . You should stretch every 45 mins to maintain a good posture. Make sure to use a Ergonomic chair which gives you a proper support. Use a good ergonomic pillow while sleeping. Please start with these gentle Neck Range of Motion exercises 👇🏻. Sit straight and relaxed. 1. Chin to chest – Slowly bend your head forward and count till 5. 2. Look up – Gently tilt head back and count till 5 3. Ear to shoulder – Tilt head to right side and count till 5. Repeat same for Left side 4. Turn to sides – Slowly look over right shoulder, and count till 5. Repeat same for Left side - Repeat each exercise 5–10 times twice a day - Do only in a comfortable, pain-free range. Stop where the pain starts. - Stop if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, or tingling
Health Tips
Use of Hot water Bag after applying Diclofenac ointment.

Neck pain of just 1.5 days duration is usually acute and mechanical in nature — most often due to: Poor sleeping posture, Sudden awkward movement, Prolonged desk/screen work, Or minor muscle spasm. In most cases, it’s not serious and tends to improve within a few days with simple self-care.
Next Steps
Activity modification Avoid prolonged sitting/looking down at phone or laptop. Keep neck in a comfortable neutral position. Pain relief Apply a warm compress (15–20 min, 2–3 times/day) to relax muscles. Gentle neck range of motion (turn head side to side, look up/down — only within pain-free limits). Postural awareness Keep screens at eye level. Support your back and shoulders when sitting. If you need temporary relief You may take an over-the-counter pain reliever or muscle relaxant (like paracetamol or ibuprofen) only if you have no medical contraindications. But as a physiotherapist, I always encourage trying non-drug methods first.
Health Tips
If any of the following occur, please don’t ignore them: Pain persists beyond 7–10 days without improvement. Severe pain that does not reduce with rest. Numbness, tingling, or weakness in arms or hands. Dizziness, headache, blurred vision, or balance problems. History of trauma (fall/accident) or other major health issues.
