My father have covid symptoms
Hi
My father had 103+ fever and cough too.Sample alredy given for covid test but result not test come.He is having Dolo 650 mg and reswas cough syrup and azithromycin but he has 101 + fever all the time .2 years back he had cardiac surgery and having medicine for that only.It bean 4 days he has fever .and 3 days back sample taken by Bhubaneswar govt authority but we didn't receive the result yet. What should we do now for his temperature.? Pls help

1. Start the medications for Covid
( Doxycycline 100mg bdpc * 7days )
2. Tab Pcm 650 TDS * 7 days
3. Mdi Budamate 400 - 2puffs twice daily * 10 days
4. Tab Montair lc - odhs * 7 days
5. Multivitamins/ vit D3 60k once weekly / tab limcee 500
6. Repeat RTpcr Covid 19 from any private lab asap
7. If fever doesn’t resolve by tomorrow , it’s better we initiate him on oral steroids ( Tab Medrol 16mg - odpc * 3d > 8mg * 3days > 4 mg * 3days)

You Need consult and detail history needed do not depend on rtpcr ,duration of fever of fever is very important and some test needs to be conducted and treatment need to be revised

Continue taking dolo 650 every 6 hours. He needs further tests for evaluation as he is a high risk patient due to history of surgery. Consult me for further assessment.
