My burn may be infected

Asked for Male, 22 Years

I burnt my left pectoral with a scalding hot spatula. I have been applying gauze and modest amounts of painkilling antibacterial. The gauze pads, however, have gotten so congealed with pus, that when I change gauze pads it tears off an entire layer of skin. This causes the wound to reopen, deepen and begin bleeding. On the first day, my burn was a tender red/pink. Day 3 it is beginning to appear red withsizeable areas of yellow. The yellow is not just pus, it is the color of the skin.

Hello, it does sound like it's infected. Burns may become complicated and serious if you ignore or self medicate them. Consult a Dermatologist or a Surgeon as soon as possible.
