Yes there seems to be a problem..Substance like cannabis,alcohol etc. Is the first predisposing or PPT factor I want to rule out..Try to get information from his friends about his whereabouts and habits...Try to talk to him also about any stressor troubling him.consult a Psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and Management of the case...it will help for sure..
