Mucormycosis post covid
Hi 3 weeks ago recovered from covid, under steroid treatment for 1 week 8mg/day then tapered. 5 days back went to ct nose no traces of black fungus but mild sinusitis and deviation of left part. Now feeling mild sinus pain .no nose block cold . do I need to worry please advise. Blood sugar levels under control fasting 90 ppbs 130

Do steam inhalation daily for sinus pain. But if pain persists get tested again for mucormycosis because diabetic pts who were under steroid treatment are high risk. Always keep your blood sugar levels under control. Don't stress too much also. Anxiety and stress will also aggrevate the pain.

Sinus problem is associated with covid infection even after recovery. black fungus infection is common in diabetics. Watch for these symptoms-headache, swelling over eyes and nose. NOTE: it is a rare infection

Sinusitis is the first stage of mucormycosis. CT scan is not very helpful in diagnosis of mycor. Are u feeling any facial numbness
