Does black fungus mostly happen after covid ? Or can it happen to a healthy person too? I've locked myself in my house. I don't want that nasty disease.

Hello,
Mucormycosis( black fungus) is mostly an opportunistic infection.
It affects people with low immunity that has been caused by other medical conditions. In the current scenario, covid is the primary disease, which causes deterioration of immunity in the effected patients. Black fungus takes advantage of that decreased immunity and attacks.
Next Steps
Avoiding crowded place, double masking, and following covid appropriate behaviours are necessary to prevent covid and any other opportunistic infections.

It doesn't affect people who are locked in their house....😁 Occurs especially in hospitalized patients who receive high dose steroids for a prolonged period of time or those with lowered immunity. So you can go out of your house wearing a mask, practising hand hygiene and following social distancing 👍
Don't worry it affects ONLY a very small number of covid positive persons. Hygiene maintenance and proper use of steroids are key measures for its prevention.
