MRI of TMJ report. Sigmoid diverticulum
I have constant pain in the lower jaw under ear lobe and neck for 14 months now.  I have clicking and grating sound in the jaw. Only on the right side. Have seen an Oral surgeon tmj specialist and he sent me for an MRI. I got the report and it says no disc displacement. what is sigmoid bulb venous diverticulum? Is this something serious? Is this the reason for my jaw pain under ear lobe and neck for so long? I have had neck ultrasound and neck CT scan with contrast earlier. I have a small pea sized lump on my neck. Same size for an year. GP sent me to CT scan to check that lump. Nothing found in CT scan. Attaching the CT scan report. Is this sigmoid bulb venous diverticulum serious? My CT scan didn't show anything like this. MRI of TMJ shows about this sigmoid diverticulum. Is this a serious issue? How is this treated? Is it related to my jaw and neck pain?

Sigmoid diverticulum  is possibly a incidental finding, and nothing to do with neck pain or swelling. You have TMJ syndrome which can become chronic if not properly treated.
