Motion sickness while travelling
We will be travelling to hill stations, and my 10-year-old son experiences motion sickness. During travel, he feels dizzy and nauseous, and for most of the journey he either vomits or complains of stomach pain, which makes him very uncomfortable. I would appreciate it if you could recommend any suitable medication or tips to help make his journey more comfortable.

Syp Promethazine 10ml night before travel and one hour before travel should be enough. Small frequent meals rather than one large meal, good hydration, adequate sleep (during journey as well), focus on distant objects rather than near ones which seems running opposite direction of travel triggered nausea. Train is better than bus due to less bumps.

Medicine often helps, but i would like more of his past medical history before suggesting something. To make sure whether child is intolerant to any of the drug or if there is a chance for allergic manifestation.
Next Steps
instead here are some methods to manage it without medicines: Before Travel: Light meal only (biscuits, toast, banana) Avoid oily, spicy, heavy food Don’t travel on a completely empty stomach either Natural Helpers: Ginger candy / ginger biscuits Peppermint candy Cold water sips During Travel: Seat him in the front seat (if possible) or middle seat Ask him to look straight ahead, not sideways Avoid reading books or phone use Keep windows slightly open for fresh air

Dimensional / Diminate (Dimetindene or Dimenhydrinate) – Can be given 30–60 minutes before travel – May cause drowsiness, so the child should not do activities requiring alertness. Meclizine (if available and prescribed) – Causes less drowsiness and can be effective for motion sickness.
