Mothersfeed
Hi...I m simran. My 4 months baby is not taking my feed directly...as he was born since then if I force him he cries...due to this my milk supply has been reduced...and now he is totally on top feed. My questions 1. The babies who don't take mother feed are not healthy in future 2. What are the adverse effect of top feed 3. Many people say who don't take feed are fussy in eating vegetables in future 4. Very imp questions....baby is passing yellow color urine sometimes from past 4_5 days Plz answer my questions....really worried .

First three assumptions are bunk, totally old wive's tales. Ideally breastmilk is the best, but if forced to give top milk feeds, use ONLY formula. Start solids at 6 months of age,and give water only then. Urine is always yellower in summers, due to more fluid loss by sweating. Just ensure giving feeds on demand and maintain strict hygiene in preparation and giving of top milk feeds using a spoon and katori, preferably.
