My mother has Hemoptysis. So i consult a general physician online. So she written Some medicines and also she written inj, Cefotaxime 1 g × 12 hrly × 5   in computerized prescription So what does 5 means here in this prescription? Is it mean 5 days or Is it mean 5 injections ?

Your mother should be thoroughly investigated. Blood investigations, x-ray chest,CT chest should be done.Go to a higher centre so that she can be treated properly.

You are allowed follow up with the same doctor on this platform so would be better to consult her to confirm. If she has written 12 hourly then it normally means twice a day for 5 days . But as I do not know your mothers case please follow up with the same doctor
