Missed 4-5 doses Thyronorm before test
Mother 71 yrs, diagnosed subclinical hypothyroidism a year back TSH 10, started 50 mcg Thyronorm. Then TSH 0.13. Prescribed 25 mcg. Then for TSH 5, prescribed 37.5 mcg. T3,T4 normal. (No symptoms, prediabetic, hypertension, early liver disease) **Recently, she missed 4-5 days of Thyronorm (forgot due to cold cough illness) and blood test done after that showed TSH 9.   T3,T4 normal. Based on this test Dr increased Thyronorm from 37.5 to 50 mcg but I forgot to mention missed doses before test to dr.  Dr not available at present. Q: Can the test be inaccurate due to missed doses?  Is the current increased dose ok to take?  What can be done? Thanks 🙏

It is better to take thyroxine daily. Somehow if you missed it, then continue same dose for atleast 6 weeks and get TSH done, if it is in normal range, continue with same dose.
